When the fish are hot , we "run the beach" on the hunt for breaking fish. You can expect one of the most exhilarating fly fishing experiences of your lifetime casting into schools of blistering action....Out Beyond The Breakers™

South Carolina Fishing , Myrtle Beach Fishing around jetties, inlets, channels and skinny water flats provide many Saltwater Fly fishing opportunities  that abound in pristine areas of Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, Pawleys Island.  Sight cast in cooler months to tailing, schooling reds, pushing water.  Bring your own fly rods and reels if you prefer, or use mine. 8-9 WT suggested or 6 -7 WT wading,  You will most likely use WF float within skinny waters  or WF medium densities  in 6-12ft;  but keep faster ips, heavier grain sink  ready for deeper depths. This is wet fly country. Your fly box should include, Clousers, Deceivers, Crabs, Shrimp, and Poppers patterns. Spoons sometimes do the trick for spot-tail (red drum) especially when water temps sink. Red Drum, Sea Trout , King and Spanish Mackerel, Spade fish , Lady Fish, Pompano, Sheep head , Sharks, and rare Stripers* , can offer Extreme South Carolina Fly Fishing action. Spinner Shark hunters come on after May 15th! A large arbor reel may come in handy. Currently use Orvis Trident 908 8WT mid-flex and 9WT T-3 fast, Battenkill Large Arbor reel, plus 15 ft Spey for surf or troll/tease with Vortex reel.  (Orvis Pro Guide membership).
